I was very averse to dentists after a rough experience in 2018, and I was so hesitant to go somewhere new. One of my best friends uses Applewood Modern Dentistry and recommended them to me as a place I could go and feel safe. So in December 2024, after a six year dental hiatus l took the leap of faith. I was really nervous for my first experience but the front office manager put me at ease with my questions and her personality was so sweet. Then the exam/xray experience was very thorough, definitely modern - with fancy equipment, and it was nothing like my previous dentist's process. Once I was in the room for my cleaning, Dr. Shelli came in the room and immediately put me at ease, talking to me like we were old friends shooting the breeze, and very naturally addressed my anxiety and fears, in casual conversation. I kicked back and let her finish the exam with her assistant, before she gave me my cleaning. Today was my 2nd visit and I was almost looking forward to it! Their new office manager, Andrew, was also so kind and calm, and thoroughly answered my questions. Dr. Shelli did a great job again, with my follow up exam and cleaning, making sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing before she did it. This office does a great job with handling patients with dental anxiety!! I highly recommend Applewood Modern Dentistry to anyone who is hesitant to get their teeth back out in the game. At least give them a chance like I did, and maybe you'll also feel safe and in good hands.
